Water Tribe, although at first extremely defensive, proved to be very powerful this round. Taking advantage of their use of careful planning and subtle tactics, they wasted no time at all in taking out Fire Nation's healer with one quick feint of the sword. Their defensive, fluid movements prevailed in the first match, taking out some of the more fiery players first, then moving on to the stalwart defenders of Fire Nation's prized banner!
Round two was also desperate struggle, which ended in the same result - water tribe victorious!
The final round Fire Nation, in a last struggle for triumph, kept up a flaming wall of solid defense, in the which they managed to defeat the Water Tribesman in the final stand upon their own base.
But with the points tallied and the judges united in agreement, it was decided that Water Tribe, with an overall streak of 2 to 1, had won the day. Better luck next time, Fire Nation!
Before we go, it ought to announced that the first one-on-one healer duel occurred this morning between Erik Fogth and Aaron Scholle!
At first Erik seemed to be prevailing heavily in the duel, advancing confidently against Aaron, sparks literally flying off his fingertips. Everyone gasped in suspense as Aaron slipped on the wet terrain to his knees! But then, quick as the rare alleged water snake, Aaron fought back to his feet, and, through a powerful series of blows, took Erik down! The outcome left all viewers stunned. Congratulations to Aaron W. Scholle for winning the first ever in-match Healer Duel!
Lastly, the Avatar Counsel would like to send a special shout out to Joel Hirschmann and Erik Fogth, who performed spectacularly as the brave volunteers to test run the rank of Avatar during the Games. It's not always easy being the lab rats, so nice job you guys!
As always, the Avatar Games were a great success. Thanks to all of the participants who came for the first week, and we hope to see y'all again soon, at the next match of
The Avatar Games!
